We took Wesley for his two year photos a few days short of his second birthday. He was quite the ham!!

Strawberry Festival

We visited the Oxnard Strawberry Festival this weekend. Wesley had his first trip on a school bus!

Yes, they had deep fried strawberries - but we did not have any.

Wesley did have PLENTY of strawberries though!

We also did some other cool things. Like see a bungee jumper ~
ride on a merry go round~
play on the slide!
Here he is on the bus ride back to the car - exhausted!!

Ingenuity

He carried this chair all the way from his bedroom to the kitchen ~

Excitement!

Not that you can tell from this picture, but Wesley was really excited this morning. One of Wesley's favorite things is a garbage truck. He says "garbage truck" at least once a day. This morning, we got to see one in action!

Wesley's love of "cooking" inspired me to bake cookies with him today.

He was a big help~

More Remodeling

By looking at the items in this photo, you would think it was taken in our kitchen.


But when I zoom out, you can see that it is actually our living room~


Wesley is slowly moving all of the contents of the kitchen to the living room, for his fun and convenience!

Guess what?

Mommy finally brought out the painting supplies!
And Wesley promptly got green paint on his face.



He had a lot of fun.


He was also very serious. Who knows, maybe he's a future Picasso?

Learning to Swim

We started swimming lessons this weekend. Wesley was excited.


Then he thought about it and was not so sure.


He started warming up to the idea when swim teacher Giles shared his pool toys.


Then he took the plunge with daddy.




It was really cold, so we only lasted about 20 minutes. Fingers crossed that next week goes better!

Hand-Eye Coordination

New way to keep Wesley occupied -- using tongs to pick up plastic Easter egg halves!

ABC's

Summertime!

Summer has arrived in Southern California. This weekend, we took advantage of the warm weather. Wesley and daddy went for a train ride:



We played outside waiting for daddy to finish shopping at the outlet mall.


Wesley showed off his new summer shoes~


We had dinner by the water in the marina. Wesley even ate fried calamari!!


We finished off the weekend with brunch at a friend's place. They have a pool. Wesley and daddy had lots of fun in the pool!
