Big Boy Bed!

This morning when Jim and I woke up, we heard the pitter-patter of little feet - Wesley had climbed out of his crib and was walking around the house. We decided that today was the day to convert his crib into a big boy bed.

Dinosaur Bones

Wesley loves the Natural History Museum. His favorite part is the dinosaur bones -- which he talks about all the time. Here are Wesley and daddy posing in front of the dinosaur bones~

Celebrating with Neo

Today we celebrated Wesley's friend Neo's first birthday. Wesley was less than gracious and was not happy to share his daddy with Neo - he kept saying "My daddy!"

The Obsession Grows

Wesley has been obsessed with shoes (not his own) from a very young age. This week, the obsession expanded to include socks. Again, not his own socks. Here he is putting on a pair of mommy's socks:

Once in a Lifetime

Yesterday, President Obama was in town. Whenever he is here, roads are closed down and traffic is a mess. This time, he was scheduled to drive through our neighborhood at rush hour. I went to pick Wesley up as usual, and offered to take him to the beach to avoid the traffic. He said no - he wanted to go home. I decided to take the back way to see if I could make it home. I got within a block of our house and was stuck. But we were stuck about 50 feet from the road that the President was going to travel on in a matter of minutes. So we got out of the car and decided to wait for the President to drive by. It was not an easy wait for a little one. I was happy to have a hovering helicopter to keep him occupied:


He was also fascinated with the police officer and his motorcycle and helmet.



Finally, he was in sight!

A once in a lifetime experience that Wesley will never remember!

We bought Wesley a potty a few months ago. We left it in the bathroom. He has shown interest in it. Sometimes he stands in it. Sometimes he sits on it.



And sometimes he pees in it!!!

Visitor!

This weekend we had a visit from Wesley's grandma from New York. We also had a visit from summer!



We had a lot of fun at the beach~

On Sunday we went to the zoo. Grandma bought Wesley one of his favorite animals - an elephant!!

Natural History Museum

While daddy was away, mommy took Wesley to the Natural History Museum. He really enjoyed the discovery room, where he got to hold dinosaur bones and climb on one of his favorite animals -- and alligator!

Ele-vader?

Like daddy, Wesley is a huge fan of Star Wars. He loves his new Star Wars pajamas. He calls Darth Vader "Ele-vader" - too cute!

Growing up

Wesley is growing up everyday. He is starting to use a big boy cup.
