East Coast Boy

Living in Southern California, Wesley has never really experienced cold weather. For some reason though, keeping warm seems to be in his genes -- he has figured out how to wear and decided that he likes gloves.



These gloves are Alex's, and he really took a liking to them while at the park on a cold (55 degree) and sunny day!

A Brief Change in Routine

Due to the holiday week, Wesley's day care is closed. We were able to arrange for back up care in the form of Alexandra ("Alex"), a temporary nanny. Wesley is a big fan of Alex, even saying her name. Here they are enjoying some time at the park:



He had so much fun at the park that he exhausted himself. Here is a shot of him falling asleep as he was eating lunch, refusing to let go of his bagel with peanut butter:

Christmas with Wesley

Wesley received many toys and other gifts this Christmas. He really enjoyed opening them up and trying them out.




In the end, though, he really seems to like common household items better than toys.




Who knows, maybe we have a future Iron Chef on our hands!

Christmas Tree

This weekend, Wesley helped to decorate our Christmas tree. He had a lot of fun! Check it out:

Santa!

Wesley visited with Santa last week. Overall, the visit was a success -- no lines, and no tears!

18 Month Photos

We took Wesley for some professional photos to celebrate turning 18 months. These photo sessions have not gotten easier in the last year, but we still got some great shots:

Disneyland!

This weekend, we met up at Disneyland with old, dear friends from Northern California. It was Wesley's first trip to the happiest place on earth.

All kidding aside, we had a great time! He loved the carousel! He went on it three times ...



... and cried when it was time to move on to the next attraction.




Overall, we had a fun filled day at Disneyland!

Fountain

Last weekend, we went to the Mission Inn in Riverside to see the Christmas displays. I did not get my great photos of the displays, but did get this nice one of my boys enjoying the fountain.

A few months ago, Wesley hated wearing hats. Now he loves them!




He really loves wearing daddy's hats, too!

...10 years from now I could get him to use the vacuum!



He knows where we keep it and he LOVES to play with it.

More Climbing Fun

Wesley loves climbing up the footboard of mommy and daddy's bed.

Hungry?

Wesley has started recognizing when he is hungry. And he knows where the food is.

Weekend Excitement

Today we woke up to a broken water main in front of our house. It was a big hassle for daddy and mommy, but very exciting for Wesley (and Xena).
He learned a new word -- hole. And he repeated it for hours.

Bubble Beard

Wesley loves taking bubble baths.



His favorite thing to do this week is to put his face into the bubbles to get a bubble beard!
