Santa!

This is Wesley's first Christmas. We decided to start a tradition of visiting Santa every year. We did not know what to expect this year. He did really well. No crying or whining. I doubt we will be as lucky next year. Here is the photo memory from our first visit --

First tooth!

Wesley's first tooth has broken through! It has been a tough few weeks of teething, but hopefully he will be feeling better now that the tooth is in sight. Unfortunatley, I do not have a picture of the tooth yet -- Wesley will not cooperate and it would not be pretty anyway.

6 Months!

Thanksgiving Road Trip!

For Thanksgiving we drove to visit our friends, Anson, Lora, Sydney and Camden in Tracy, CA. It was Wesley's first road trip and he was a champ:





While we were there, Wesley experienced his first "cold" weather and dressed for the occasion:

New Toy!

Wesley is very excited about the new "toy" that was delivered last week. He is mesmerized by it. Can you guess what it is??

Wesley loves to be on the floor on his tummy. Since he will be spending a lot of time on the cold, hard floor, I bought him a nice soft mat. It is all different colors with the letters of the alphabet. Here he is playing on it:

Crazy Chair!

Wesley is now 5 months old. His newest "hobby" is his exersaucer -- or as daddy calls it, his "Crazy Chair."



Up until recently, he stood in it and let us do all of the playing. Now, however, he is starting to spin around and push the buttons himself. Look how much fun he has:

Happy Halloween!!

This was Wesley's first Halloween. Daddy could not wait! As you can see, Wesley's costume was chosen by daddy ~ he is C3PO from Star Wars (notice that daddy is also wearing a Star Wars shirt in the photo):

Homemade Pea Puree!

Aunt Linda and Nanny gave me a baby steamer/food processor for a shower gift. I was very excited for Wesley to start eating solids so that I could use it. Last weekend, I brought it out to make him some pea puree.

Unfortunately, Wesley does not like peas very much right now. We are hoping that changes soon!

Baby Group!

Every Monday since Wesley was 10 weeks old we have been going to a mommy and me type class. This week all of the babies brought their Halloween costumes and posed together as a group. Can you guess which one is Wesley??




He is C3PO, of course! Daddy would not have it any other way!! Here is a photo of babies and mommies together:

The Yankees are in the ALCS and Wesley is showing his support!!

Yum! (Well, not really)

This week, we tried introducing solids to Wesley. While the picture of Wesley and Daddy makes it seem like it went well, at this point, Wesely is not really enjoying his new food source (yet)!

Feet!!!

Wesely has discovered his feet -- as you can see below, he has also discovered how to put them in his mouth!

Ouch!!!!

Wesley had his four month vaccinations -- 5 shots, 5 band aids. Ouch!

Go Chargers!

Since moving to Southern California, mommy has become a fan of the Chargers --- which means Wesley is a fan of the Chargers. He looks pretty happy about it:

Kickoff Weekend!

This weekend was the start of Wesley's first football season. As you can see, he has "assumed the position" next to daddy:

George the Giraffe

Wesley is now 14 weeks old. One of his new activities this week is petting his 5 foot tall stuffed giraffe, George, a gift from Shannon and Rob! Check it out:

Big Sister Xena

All of our lives have changed drastically since the arrival of Wesley, Xena's life, included. She is taking the fact that she is no longer "top dog" in stride, however. She was even willing to pose for some photos in her new role as big sister!

The Many Moods of Wes

As you can see, Wes gave the photographer at his "3 month" photo shoot a lot to work with.

Let the Adventure Begin!

Wesley will be 3 months old this week, so I decided to adopt an idea from my friends Lora and Christine and create a blog so that all of our friends and family members from across the US can keep up with Wes. I hope to post photos and news of milestones frequently!

As for the latest with Wes - he is a very smiley, happy baby. This week, he rolled over for the first time and learned to grab onto the purple hippo on his bouncy seat. He is still working on getting his hands into his mouth (this causes him great frustration, so let's hope he figures it out soon!). The photo above was taken this week.
