Obstacle Course

Wesley really enjoys hiding and playing underneath our dining room table. He has turned our chairs into an obstacle course. Check it out:

Messy!

Wesley seems to be getting messier as an eater instead of neater. I have stopped letting him wear shirts in his high chair on warm days. What a mess!!

More fun with boxes!

We order all of Wesley's diapers on the internet and therefore always have boxes around. Here he is with a new box and a new way to have fun:

Beach Bum

This weekend we took a walk on the boardwalk at Venice Beach. It was a bit chilly, but Wesley enjoyed himself nonetheless.

Whaddaya think?

Does Wesley want to take a walk?

New Favorite Toy!

Daddy decided that Wesley needed a new toy in his toy box. He bought him a Bob the Builder ball. Wesley really loves playing with it!

Oh no!!

Wesley has come down with his first major illness -- Roseola. It started out over the weekend with a high fever and then the rash came. Here are some photos of his spots:

We can still get some smiles from him even though he feels awful:

Baby Proof?

I am sure that the folks who designed these clever cabinet locks to prevent little ones from getting inside did not expect them to double as a handle for a 10 month old to use to pull up.

Think he is already contemplating how they work and how he is going to get in?

Partners In Crime II

It didn't take long for Xena to figure out the best spot in the house. This is her new "station" -- under Wesley's highchair for every meal. Before long he will be feeding her his veggies under the table!

New Skills

The day Wesley turned 10 months old, he developed some new skills - taught by daddy:

Here he is doing Gimme 5:

Here is High 5:

Very fun!

King Tut

I realize that is a strange title for a blog entry, but trust me, it is fitting. Last weekend, I found Wesley sitting on the dining room floor, facing the wall. He was chattering away, happy as a clam. I was baffled. Then I saw him start to crawl toward the wall. This is what he had been talking to:

It is a CD holder that Jim gave me for Christmas a few years ago. I guess it looks really interesting to Wesley - a little man just his size to talk to! He stops by King Tut once a day now to chat and touch his face.

Hours of Entertainment!!

This one doesn't even need a narrative ~

Still Obsessed

I really hope that his obsession lasts into his teenage years and that he actually learns how to use it! Until then, it is really cute!

Happy Easter!

For his first Easter, Wesley decided to do his Easter Bunny imitation. He really enjoyed that carrot!
