Mmmm Pizza!

Wesley had his first slice of pizza today. Too bad it was California pizza.

It is all the same to him though -- he really enjoyed it!

Li'l Daredevil

Mommy and grandma took Wesley to the park today. It is pretty clear that he has no fear.

First, he practiced stepping up and down the curb near the swings.

Then he found the bench and decided to climb up and down.

Next he climbed the chain ladder.

Then he climbed the stairs.

When he got to the top of the stairs he went down the slide.
Head first.

Pop Pop

Wesley has really taken a liking to his "Pop Pop" this week!

Silly boys!!

A Bit More Civilized

Wesley has taken an interest in using a spoon and fork to feed himself. While it is a bit messy, we are definitely encouraging it.

With grandma's help, he is even starting to get good at it!

Red Wagon

This week, Wesley's grandma and pop pop came to visit. They bought Wesley a new red wagon as a belated birthday present. Wesley reacted to the wagon the same way he reacts to most new things:

He played with the box ~

He climbed all over it ~

He cried when we put him in it ~

Then he got used to it ~

Wesley will enjoy his wagon for years to come!

First Haircut!

We took Wesley to get his first haircut today. We went to a salon in Santa Monica that specializes in kids' cuts. Here is Wesley waiting to get underway -- pretty cool that the chair is a rocket ship, huh?

Overall, Wesley did really well during the process.

But I don't think he really enjoyed it.

Dad had to help out a bit ~

Finally finished!

Here are some before and after photos:

By the way, the gelled pointy style will not be an everyday look.

Ultimate Fighting Champion 2

A few months ago, Wesley challenged and defeated piggy in a cage match. This week (even though - or maybe because - he was sick and teething) he upped his game and challenged giraffe to a match.

Here is the blow by blow.

At first he was really upset when giraffe went down.

Wesley recovered quickly. Poor giraffe didn't.

Daddy's Shoes

Wesley has a new fascination with Daddy's shoes (though he hates his own). He likes carrying daddy's shoes around the house.

Here he is walking around with both!

Saturday, in the Park

This weekend, our big outing was a trip to the park. Wesley brought his ball.

As you can see, he has moved beyond mere walking, and has started running!

The highlight of our trip to the park was a picnic with some friends from Baby Group!

Here is the whole gang: Charlie, Cole, Wesley, Harper and Ryan. I can't believe how big they have all gotten! We all first met when they were 6-10 weeks old!

Yard sale

We had a yard sale this past Saturday. Here are the partners in crime waiting for the festivities to begin ~

Look What Mommy Built!

Wesley received a very special delivery while he was at daycare Friday afternoon. Mommy rushed home from work a little early to accept the delivery, then got out daddy's tools and got to work. Here is what Wesley arrived home to see:

He was very excited and decided to try it out immediatley!

Unfortunately, he insists on going down the slides head first, so I have not been able to get a picture as I am too nervous. Maybe I will be able to get a picture of him on the slide when daddy is around - check back later!
